Compensation: $27-$30/hr

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 – 3:30 with OT available

Location: Perryopolis and surrounding areas

Job Description:

A Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for driving Tri-Axle dump trucks/tractors, moving equipment from job sites, and operating heavy machinery as part of the PPS construction crew. Responsibilities include operating excavators, backhoes, front-end loaders, pavement rollers, and skid-steers, as well as mobilizing equipment, communicating effectively with team members, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The role requires a proactive attitude towards safety, quality workmanship, and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe work environment following all safety policies and procedures.
• Operate and maintain construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Drive two tri-axle dump trucks if required.
• Complete and submit all necessary paperwork daily, including dump forms, material tickets, and DOT pre-trips.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of all company-owned and rented equipment and vehicles.
• Perform general labor duties as assigned by the foreman.
• Work in all weather conditions and operate heavy equipment for extended periods.
• Adhere to all safety standards and utilize Stop Work/Time Out protocols when necessary.
• Maintain valid CDL license and DOT medical card.
• Perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and operating motorized vehicles safely.
