Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a skilled crane and heavy equipment operator for its terminals. Responsibilities include operating D9 dozers, track hoes, excavators, forklifts, telehandlers, skid steers and man lifts in a safe, efficient manner, following all safety procedures and site rules.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, 8 months to 1 year of heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, TWIC, and ability to pass safety trainings and respiratory fit testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required.
• Eight months to one year experience in Heavy equipment, especially D9 dozers, track hoes.
• Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
• Must pass and complete Safety training/certification as required by customers and Kinder Morgan.
• Must obtain and/or meet all requirements to enter foreign trade zones (TWIC).
• Must be able to complete/pass DISA testing for entrance into facility.
• Must be able to pass respiratory fit testing.
• Must be willing to work day or night shift schedule and overtime with little to no notice.
• Regular work attendance is required.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally.
• Must be willing to work as part of a team and follow work rules.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment and report unsafe conditions.
• Regular work attendance is required.
• Able to work at different locations as needed.
• Must be willing to work shift and/or overtime hours as dictated by operations.
• Perform housekeeping and general maintenance as required.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and loud noises.
