Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to transport bulk scrap commodities to and from barges, railcars, trucks and storage facilities. You will ensure safe, efficient operations and comply with company policies and procedures.

You will operate heavy trucks up to 100 tons, perform inspections, maintenance, fueling, and loading/unloading tasks while supporting customer needs. Shift availability including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely at all times.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks up to ~100 tons to transport scrap/materials to/from docks, storage yards and locations.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and fueling/lubrication as needed.
• Follow loading, travel, and unloading procedures for safety and efficiency.
• Respond promptly to customer requests and provide materials and support as required.
• Work shifts and weekends as needed.
