Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator / CDL Driver
Location: Tampa, FL

Job Summary

Are you an experienced heavy equipment operator and CDL driver looking for a dynamic role in environmental services? We are seeking a skilled individual to operate heavy machinery and vehicles in support of our core service lines, including emergency response, industrial maintenance, facility decontamination, and site remediation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate heavy equipment and perform fieldwork for remediation and industrial maintenance projects under direct or indirect supervision.
  2. Perform additional duties of a Field Technician as needed based on business requirements.
  3. Complete all required paperwork, including timesheets, driver logs, vehicle inspections, and safety meeting forms.
  4. Adhere to project scopes and enforce compliance with contracts, schedules, and company policies.
  5. Safely operate various heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, and skid steers.
  6. Work in confined spaces and areas of varying dimensions, involving squatting, crawling, and other physical tasks.
  7. Safely operate and perform safety checks on all equipment for which you are licensed or qualified to operate.
  8. Be prepared for out-of-town project work, including extended stays of two weeks or more.
  9. Work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, hazardous environments, and heights.
  10. Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, crouching, and lifting up to 50 pounds or more.
  11. Maintain a clean-shaven face to ensure proper respirator fit when necessary.
Qualifications
  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  2. 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  3. Experience in related fields such as emergency response, manual labor, general construction, or industrial cleaning is preferred.
  4. Valid Class "B" or "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required.
  5. TWIC certification preferred.
  6. Must obtain OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and Confined Space Entry certifications within the first 30 days of employment.
  7. Must pass pre-employment background checks, substance screening, and ongoing verifications.
