Zusammenfassung

Alliance Construction in Sioux Falls is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our civil team. You will operate loaders, excavators, and other machinery to prepare sites, grade, trench, and install utilities, while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will read grade stakes and plans, perform routine maintenance, and collaborate with the foreman and crew. Our local, family-owned contractor offers competitive weekly pay, overtime opportunities, benefits, and a strong work/life

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license (CDL is a bonus, but not required!).
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to withstand bumps and jolts while operating heavy equipment.
• Excellent hand, eye, and foot coordination to operate pedals, levers and controls.
• Available Monday–Friday, with very minimal weekend work.
• Ability to work on projects in town and potentially out of town within driveable distance.

Aufgaben

• Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, rollers, skid steers safely on site.
• Perform daily machine maintenance and safety inspections.
• Carry out site work and grading for earthwork and pavement readiness.
• Excavate and backfill trenches per plans, protecting utilities.
• Assist with general hand labor as needed.
• Use levels, lasers, grade rods and other tools safely.
• Read grade stakes and engineer plans to determine material needs.
• Collaborate with foreman and crew to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures, especially around underground utilities.
