Job summary

Fessler & Bowman is seeking an Operator to perform a variety of tasks supporting our heavy civil projects. The role requires operating excavator, dozer, and loader in accordance with safety policies and instructions.

Applicants should have 3+ years of earthwork experience, be able to lift up to 75 lbs., and understand English; travel to nearby job sites may be required. We offer competitive benefits and a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with earthwork and civil construction.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety policies and requirements.
• This position requires climbing, kneeling, bending and crawling often as well as the ability to work on ladders, platforms and mechanical lifts.
• Must be able to understand English.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (excavator, dozer, loader) in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
• Efficiently operate machines for earth moving, pipe installation & grading operations.
• Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers.
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
• Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
