Job summary

Qualifications

• Must pass practical test as part of qualification.
• Certification by Safety Department or as Competent person.

Responsibilities

• Checks all fluids before starting engine.
• Works on pipe/utility crews and safe trench operations.
• Operates equipment on heavy highway/bridge projects and moves materials.
• Receives instructions from supervisor.
• Performs routine maintenance such as lubrication and fueling.
• Follows ground markings, hand signals, and grade stakes.
• Operates equipment safely and responsibly.
• Assists crew when operator work is unavailable.
