Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. in Staunton, VA is seeking Equipment Operators to run Excavators, Dozers and Loaders for heavy highway, bridge and utility projects in Staunton and the Northern VA/DC area.

Candidates should have minimum five years related experience and be certified or approved by the Safety Department; must pass a practical test; base pay ranges from $27.00 to $40.00 per hour, plus medical, life and disability insurance, PTO and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years related experience.
• Certified or approved by Safety Department; must pass practical test.
• Experience with excavators, dozers and loaders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Checks fluids before starting engine.
• Operates excavators, dozers and loaders on heavy highway/bridge/utility projects.
• Works safely on pipe/utility crews and trench areas.
• Receives written or oral instructions from supervisor.
• Performs routine maintenance such as lubrication and fueling.
• Assists crews when operator work is unavailable.
