Job summary

Cochise County seeks an Equipment Operator to work in Bisbee, Douglas, Benson, Elfrida or Willcox. The position requires operating a variety of heavy equipment, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to safety and pre-employment screening policies.

Applicants should have at least one year of field equipment operation experience and a valid Arizona Class A CDL or obtain one within five months of hire. The job offers an hourly wage of $17.00–$19.50 plus a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• One year of experience operating equipment in construction or related field.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Class A CDL or be able to obtain within 5 months of employment date.
• Post-offer, pre-employment background screening required.
• Safety sensitive position with pre-employment and random drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of equipment, including large vehicles and heavy equipment.
• Maintains and performs routine maintenance on roadways, right of ways, and flood control structures.
• May operate equipment in support of Solid Waste operations, to include trucking.
• Performs on-site mathematical computations for projects and maintenance; reads blueprints and surveys.
