Job summary

CRH is seeking a construction equipment operator for APAC-Kansas, Inc., Shears Construction, a CRH Company. The role involves operating excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes across job sites with strict safety adherence and teamwork.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, minor maintenance, and assisting training of newer crew members. Travel to remote sites and overtime may be required; a valid DL/CDL and compliance with OSHA/MSHA are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes safely.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety regulations.
• Report issues or incidents promptly to supervisors.
• Adhere to daily assignments and project expectations from the Foreman.
• Perform minor maintenance on equipment and report major problems.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and required documentation.
• Help train less-experienced team members in equipment operation, servicing, and repair.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned.
