Job summary

Charah Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator to load and move ash, dirt, and rock using various machines. The role requires coordinating with crew, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety at all times.

Excellent candidates will have at least one year of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent. The job involves outdoor work, varied shifts, and adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience operating heavy equipment in construction or similar environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of ash management and landfill-related work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and/or move materials (ash, dirt, rock) using heavy equipment.
• Drive and maneuver equipment with blades to level earth and terrain.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew through hand or audio signals.
• Perform routine maintenance and identify maintenance needs.
• Adjust controls quickly to exact positions as needed.
• Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
