    Job Description

    TheHeavy Equipment Operatoris responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Heavy equipment may include wheel loaders, excavators; screening, crushing, and material conveying systems; street sweepers; skid steers; and other similar equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, inspect, and secure all equipment and perform minor preventative and other maintenance on his/her equipment.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and all company policies and procedures.
    • Perform and document daily safety and maintenance checks.
    • Perform minor preventative and other maintenance.
    • Clean equipment as scheduled or necessary.
    • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
    Qualifications

    Basic Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • 1+ years experience using a wheel loader/front-end loader
    • Willingness and ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments, including working outdoors
    • Willingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls and respirator
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the workday

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in using an excavator, skid steer loader, and other relatedheavy equipment
