Qualifications

• Pass a practical skills test for heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, loaders).
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to solve problems and work safely with PPE as needed.
• Must meet physical requirements (movement, lifting).
• Familiarity with OSHA or safety certifications is preferred for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely according to OSHA and H&K policies.
• Control machinery by moving levers and pedals to achieve production goals.
• Perform daily equipment checks and routine maintenance.
• Keep equipment clean and properly stored when not in use.
• Notify foreman of maintenance or repair needs; perform other duties as assigned.
