Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in installing and maintaining underground utilities. In this role, you will operate a variety of equipment, including excavators, backhoes, wheel loaders and skid-steer loaders, to dig trenches, install pipes, and perform other tasks related to underground utility work. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or utility setting and possess a strong commitment to safety. Travel is required.

- Pay will be dependent upon experience.

- Paid lodging and per diem provided

- CDL , but not required

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
• Follow project plans and specifications to complete assigned tasks
• Excavate and backfill trenches, install pipes, and perform other duties as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

• Experience operating excavators, wheel loaders, skid loaders, dozers, and rollers.
• Must be skilled with holding grade, excavating around utilities, trenching, backfilling, fine grading, and restoration.
• Steady year-round work
• Must be able to travel throughout the Southeast region
• Valid Driver's License required

Qualifications:

• Certification or training in heavy equipment operation
• Experience working with underground utilities
• Strong mechanical aptitude
