Job summary

Aerotek is hiring for Heavy Equipment Operators to support landfill construction and cell development projects around Elizabeth, PA. You will operate CAT D6 dozers and production excavators, perform grading tasks, and ensure safety and quality on site.

This contract role offers 10-12 hour shifts with overtime, lodging for travel, and weekly pay. Requirements include 3+ years of experience and GPS/Trimble familiarity; willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking experienced heavy equipment operators to support landfill construction and cell development projects throughout the region. You will primarily work on CAT D6 dozers and production excavators, performing tasks such as grading, earthmoving, landfill cell construction, slope work, and material placement.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT D6 dozers and production excavators safely and efficiently.

Essential Skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• GPS experience preferred, especially with Trimble systems.
• Experience working on steep grades and maintaining slope tolerances.
• Experience reading grade stakes, plans, and machine control displays.
• CAT equipment experience highly preferred.
• Landfill construction experience is a plus.
• Ability to travel extensively.

Work Environment

Work outdoors in landfill and heavy civil construction environments, often on active landfill construction projects. Expect a five-day work week with overtime available and frequent travel required. Be prepared for exposure to varying weather conditions and terrain. Company provides a hard hat and safety vest, but employees must provide their own steel-toe boots (above the ankle), work pants, and T-shirts. General labor and high stamina are required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Washington, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
