Job summary

Kimble Companies is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator to operate loaders and material handlers, load transfer trucks with waste and recyclables, and perform general labor as needed.

First and Second Shift are available. The role requires standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in an industrial environment with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to bend, stoop, climb, reach.
  • Operate CAT loaders or similar equipment in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CAT loaders or similar, along with excavator/material handlers.
  • Maintain knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles and safety.
  • Drive and operate equipment under varying working conditions.
  • Clean drains and grease machines.
  • Perform pre & post-trip inspections on machinery.
  • Conduct manual labor and loader operations as required.
  • Maintain good attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

  • Cleaning drains

The Heavy Equipment Operator operates a loader or material handler to fill the transfer trucks with garbage or recyclable materials, or load meter bin with recyclable materials and general labor as needed.

First and Second Shift Available

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Regularly stand for long periods of time
  • Able to bend, stoop, climb, reach
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
  • Work in an industrial environment
Responsibilities And Duties
  • Ability to operate CAT loaders or similar, along with excavator/material handlers
  • Considerable knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles. Ability to drive and operate the equipment under varying working conditions.
  • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
  • Cleaning drains
  • Greasing machines
  • Pre & post-trip on machinery
  • Manual labor required as well as running the loaders.
  • Perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
  • Regular attendance consistent with Company Attendance Policy
  • All other duties as assigned by management
Physical Work Activities And Exposure
  • Operators must have good eyesight and better than average coordination in order to operate both hand and foot levers simultaneously.
  • They must have good judgment in order to perform complicated tasks and must be able to work closely with other crafts without constant supervision.
  • Skilled operators are constantly alert and observant of their surroundings.
