Waste Connections, Inc. has immediate openings for HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR at Sun Country Materials Landfill, Riverview, FL. We are seeking a versatile operator capable of traveling throughout Florida as needed.

Ideal candidates are those who thrive in an environment of operational excellence and accountability.

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Spreading and compacting trash using a compactor
• Spreading daily cover using a dozer and scraper
• Operating a front-end loader

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Operate multiple pieces of heavy equipment throughout the workday
• Work in a fast-paced, team environment
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Follow safe operating practices
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills for customer service
• Write and understand reports to complete daily assignments

Candidates who meet our minimum requirements must:

• Possess a satisfactory driving record
• Have at least five years of experience operating heavy equipment
