Job description

$23–$28/hour | Regional Project Work | Company-Paid Housing + Meal Per Diem

Ready Field Solutions is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to support field projects throughout Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and surrounding project areas.

You do not need to live near Barnesville/Bethesda, OH; Waynesburg, PA; or Fairmont, WV to be considered. Candidates outside these areas are welcome to apply if they are comfortable traveling and staying near project sites when needed. For qualifying overnight assignments, Ready Field Solutions provides lodging and a meal per diem.

This is a full-time, field-based opportunity paying $23–$28 per hour, based on experience, for an experienced operator who is comfortable working outdoors, traveling based on project needs, and operating a variety of heavy equipment.

What You'll Do

Operate heavy equipment, including earthmoving equipment, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and other equipment as needed.

Safely transport equipment, materials, and supplies to project and job site locations using company vehicles.

Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs as needed.

Maintain clean and safe work sites and properly care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment.

Support field and project crews as needed to successfully complete assigned work.

Follow company safety procedures and promote safe work practices at all times.

Interact professionally with customers, contractors, and the public while working at or traveling to project sites.

Work additional hours or adjusted schedules when required by project needs, seasonal demands, or peak periods.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Travel & Project Schedule

Project locations vary based on business needs, so overnight travel is an important part of this position.

Out-of-town assignments typically run Monday through Friday, with employees generally returning home Friday evening.

Projects may last approximately 1–3 weeks, with some assignments lasting up to 8 weeks.

Company-paid lodging and meal per diem are provided for qualifying overnight assignments.

Depending on the assignment, employees may report to a designated Ready Field Solutions location and travel to the project in a company vehicle or may be able to report directly to the job site.

Overnight travel frequency varies based on project availability and location.

Candidates should be comfortable with a changing project schedule and willing to stay near project locations when required.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience operating heavy equipment and machinery.

Experience with equipment such as excavators, earthmoving equipment, loaders, dump trucks, or similar construction/field equipment.

Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicles as required.

Class A CDL preferred.

Must be at least 21 years old to drive company vehicles.

Ability to perform basic equipment inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs.

Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively around moving equipment and active job sites.

Dependable, flexible, and comfortable adapting to changing job sites, schedules, and project needs.

Ability to work effectively as part of a field team.

High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Seasonal Snow Operations

During snow season, Heavy Equipment Operators may also support snow and ice removal operations. Responsibilities may include:

Operating snowplows, salt trucks, and other snow removal equipment.

Working early mornings, extended hours, weekends, or holidays when weather conditions require.

Shoveling snow and assisting with grounds, facilities, and road maintenance.

Responding promptly when called to support snow removal operations.

This is a physically active, primarily outdoor position. Employees should be prepared to work in changing weather conditions, including heat and cold, and around loud equipment, dust, pollen, insects, moving machinery, and other conditions common to active field and construction environments.

Work hours may vary based on project schedules, seasonal needs, and weather conditions.

Why Consider Ready Field Solutions?

This opportunity offers experienced operators the ability to work on projects throughout the region without needing to relocate permanently.
