Summary

As an Equipment Operator at CS Beatty Construction, you will be an integral part of our operations team. This position involves operating various heavy machinery to support construction projects and ensure efficient site preparation and execution.

Responsibilities
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as articulating dump trucks, dozers, excavators, skid steers, loaders compactors, and water trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Perform daily inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in site preparation tasks including grading and excavation as directed by supervisors.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and project progress.
  • Communicate effectively with onsite personnel regarding project needs and updates.
  • Keep equipment clean and orderly.
Qualifications

Must be able to pass background check and drug test.

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required for all positions.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Familiarity with various types of construction machinery.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Position Requirements
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Must pass a physical examination, drug screen, and criminal background check.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee works in a variety of weather conditions of heat, cold, rain and snow. Weather conditions can result in lost hours being worked.
  • The employee is regularly required to use feet to push pedals and other controls.
  • The employee must use speech and hearing for communication needs.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Follow all OSHA, MSHA, and Company rules for job safety.
  • Be able to arrive on time before beginning his/her shift.
  • Provide their own transportation to work.
  • Be able to work flexible hours.
  • Work on the weekends.
  • Travel out of state to work.
  • Follow all guidelines in the CS Beatty Construction Handbook.
