Qualifications

What You'll Do in This Position


Operate equipment such as dozers, backhoes, motor graders, loaders, track excavators, rollers, farm tractors and implements.

Must meet Commercial Driver's License physical requirements and be certified my SRS Medical.

Able to properly place, secure and protect loads/cargo from damage.
Must be eligible to drive per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
Able to operate all single component vehicles and vehicles towing another that weigh less than 10,000 pounds.

Able to transport personnel, equipment and materials including radioactive contaminated and hazardous.

Perform pre-and post-operational checks of vehicles and equipment to include tire pressure, fuel, lubricants, brakes, coolant, steering, warning devices, lights, wipers, hoisting or dumping mechanisms and towing equipment.

Handle alone or assist with loading or unloading material or equipment to be transported including physically lifting loads and boxes at a maximum of 50 pounds.
Maintain communications with manager or dispatcher.

Perform necessary administrative duties to complete assigned tasks or as requested by management.

Complete and successfully pass the required SRS drivers training course and all CDL Class B driver's skill tests.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as dozers, backhoes, motor graders, loaders, track excavators, rollers, farm tractors and implements.
Must maintain Commercial Driver's License physical requirements and be certified my SRS Medical.

Must maintain eligibility to drive per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR)

Proficiency to properly place, secure and protect loads/cargo from damage. (May require mounting vehicle cargo space).

Able to perform work functions such as repair/modification of site infrastructure, excavating underground utilities, drainage corrections, contamination excavation, emergency response actions, precision grading, trenching, waste disposal, landfill operations, procedure compliance, hazard identification and mitigation.

Proficiency working in accordance with approved procedures, work documents, supervisory instructions or other recognized work authorization processes.
Maintain fitness for duty to perform assigned work and operate necessary equipment.

Able to operate all single component vehicles and vehicles towing another that weigh less than 10,000 pounds.

Able to transport personnel, equipment and materials including radioactive contaminated and hazardous.

Able to perform all pre and post trip operational inspections as required by the FMCSR.

Handle alone or assist with loading or unloading material or equipment to be transported including physically lifting loads and boxes at a maximum of 50 pounds.

Perform administrative functions such as maintaining and completing equipment inspection report, procedure compliance, participating in work hazard analysis, performing and documenting safety observations, accepting adequacy of lockout/tagout's.

Maintain qualifications to operate all vehicles more than 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Rating (GVWR) and single component vehicles towing another vehicle not in excess of 10,000 pounds GVWR.



Security Clearance Information


SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require


High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential. Must be 21 years of age. Must have a minimum of three years of experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, dozers, motor graders, excavators, skid steer, loaders and farm tractors with implements.



Other Qualifications


Able to obtain and maintain L Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a minimum of a State Commercial License "B" with endorsements for tanker, hazardous materials and air brakes. Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts



Qualifications We Desire


Demonstrated proficiency with Bulldozers/Track-hoes/Backhoes/Motor Graders
