Position Overview

We are hiring experienced heavy equipment operators skilled in operating excavators, backhoes, rubber tire wheel loaders, track loaders, track dozers, and skid steers. Operators will work around existing utilities for installing or replacing underground utilities such as water, sewer, and storm drainage. Reporting any defects or unsafe conditions to the foreman and maintaining equipment logs, including fuel logs, are essential. Candidates should work collaboratively to uphold our core values.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment in good condition through regular checks and lubrication
• Demonstrate knowledge of all construction aspects

Physical Requirements

• Work in various environmental conditions, including sun, heat, cold, and water, in dusty or dirty settings
• Safely climb on and off equipment
• Sit for extended periods, sometimes for several days
• Frequently lift 20 to 100 lbs or more
• Work extended hours during construction season (overtime paid at time and a half)
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed

License and Certification Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Pass a drug screening
• DOT physical required upon hiring
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
