Job summary

Staab Construction Corporation seeks an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. You will operate cranes, excavators, backhoes, bulldozers and other machinery on commercial/heavy construction projects, ensuring safety and quality work.

Must have 3 years of operating relevant equipment and the ability to obtain CDL/NCCCO certification if not already. The role requires reading blueprints, performing routine maintenance and supporting rigging and signaling tasks on site.

Qualifications

  • Must have 3 years heavy equipment operating experience or apprentice program graduate or other equivalent education experience.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 100 lb, climb and work at 30 ft heights, travel up to 300 miles and stay overnight 3-4 days per week.
  • Knowledge of or working with wastewater or water treatment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and proficiently operates all heavy equipment
  • Performs operator maintenance on all heavy equipment on the job site
  • Oversees rigging and ensures safe lifting procedure
  • Layout and complete excavations for structures and pipe trenches at depths up to 40’
  • Installs earth retention and dewatering systems
  • Assists in installation of batter boards, setting lines, grades, offsets, and elevations
  • Establish and transfer benchmarks
  • Rigging and signaling (crane/excavator communications)
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Perform other construction duties as needed

Job description

We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce quality results. The Heavy Equipment Operator operates large equipment including cranes, excavators, tractor backhoes, bulldozers, and other machinery as needed for commercial and/or heavy construction. Must have 3 years experience operating relevant equipment (crane, excavator or bulldozer). Ideal candidates adhere to company safety standards and take pride in their work.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications Required at time of Application
