Job summary

O6 Environmental in Farmington, MO is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for a full-time traveling role. You will perform routine inspections, operate excavators and skid steers, and support cleanup and remediation projects.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, the ability to work in all weather, and OSHA 1910.120/HAZWOPER certification; the company is willing to assist with certification where needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment including excavators and skid steers.
• Underground tank removal and remediation experience preferred.
• Able to perform labor in all weather conditions.
• Work in confined spaces, heights, and low-clearance environments.
• OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER certification or equivalent (company willing to help obtain).

• Adhere and follow safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site‑specific safety plans during cleanup activities and when using protective gear
• Operate routinely used hand tools and equipment
• Perform general construction labor including site preparation, material handling, demolition support, and cleanup
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
• Complete required paperwork, forms and records as required

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This is a full- time traveling position.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Adhere and follow safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site‑specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear
• Operate routinely used hand tools and equipment
• Perform general construction labor including site preparation, material handling, demolition support, and cleanup
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles, and trailers
• Complete required paperwork, forms and records as required

Qualifications

• 3+ years demonstrated ability to operate various types of heavy equipment including excavators and skid steers preferred
• Underground tank removal and remediation experience preferred
• Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions
• Works in atmospheres with low clearance, confined spaces and at heights
• Environmental and hazardous waste experience including certification per OSHA 1910.120 (i.e. OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER) (Company willing to help obtain)
