Job summary

Phoenix Global is seeking a full-time Heavy Equipment Operator in Fairfield, AL. The role involves operating various heavy mobile equipment, following all safety regulations, and loading materials in designated areas.

You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections and coordinate with maintenance for any issues. The position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs, with a team‑oriented safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy mobile equipment such as loaders and excavators.
• Must be team oriented with a strong safety focus.
• Able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy mobile equipment (loader, excavator, dozer, etc.).
• Comply with safety regulations and policies.
• Load/off-load materials in designated areas.
• Conduct pre-op and post-op inspections.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Monitor machine performance and report issues.
• Upkeep and maintenance of equipment.
• Perform daily inspections, greasing, oiling, and fueling.

Job Description

• Operate various heavy mobile equipment.
• Comply with all safety regulations and policies.
• Load/off-load materials in designated areas.
• Conducts pre op and post op inspections.
• Maintain work area to allow safe movement and access.
• Monitor any change in machine performance to identify potential malfunctions & report to the maintenance department effectively.
• Upkeep and maintain the cleanliness of equipment.
• Perform daily machine inspection and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling.

Skills

• Experience operating end loader, excavator, dozer, and other specialized mobile equipment
• A team and safety-oriented mentality
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time & lift up to 40lbs.
• Knowledge of bulk materials
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
