Job summary

CBP Environmental, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Charleston, SC. You will operate heavy earthmoving equipment on environmentally focused civil projects and prioritize safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Operations or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of safe and productive operation of heavy equipment.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment drug, alcohol and medical/physical capability requirements.
• Travel and weekend work may be required.
• Willing to work overtime.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to policies and procedures.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required.
• Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored.
• Advise Management of any maintenance or repair needs.
• Participate in routine maintenance.
• Practice workplace safety.

Requirements

• 1+ years’ experience in Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Operations (i.e. excavators, dozers, articulated trucks, etc.), or the equivalent in training.
• Knowledge of safe & productive operation of heavy equipment.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol and medical/physical capability requirements.
• Successful criminal background screen may be required.
• Ability to be a team leader in all safety aspects of the position.
• Position will require travel and possible weekend work.
• Must be willing to work over-time.
