Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Operational knowledge of heavy equipment including track hoes, rough-grade dozer, wheel loader, mini-excavators, and skid steers.
- Understand the use and operation of equipment in various tasks such as excavating, trenching, leveling, loading, rough grading, and finishing.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to minimize risks, following company policies and procedures.
- Inspect tires, control fuels and fluids, and track maintenance to ensure reliable operation.
- Ensure team safety and follow incident reporting procedures.
- Monitor and track field data as requested by the superintendent.
Education and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in heavy construction/equipment operation.
Skills and Requirements:
Required
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong decision-making skills, especially under pressure.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Wear safety gear such as gloves, hardhats, protective suits, eye, respiratory, and hearing protection when exposed to hazards.
Preferred
- Completion of an OSHA construction course.
