Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the precise and safe operation of various heavy machinery, including forklifts, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining equipment in optimal condition.

What You’ll Do:

  • Successfully complete monthly performance evaluations demonstrating precise and safe operation of forklifts.
  • Achieve a 98% accuracy rate in material placement and balance during operation.
  • Track and update the status of shipments as required.
  • Achieve a 95% completion rate of scheduled maintenance tasks and minor repairs, as documented in the maintenance log over a six-month period.
  • Complete 100% of required pre- and post-operation equipment checks to ensure safe operation.
  • Maintain a record of zero safety violations reported during operations.
  • Keep work area clean and organized to promote a safe and efficient work environment.

Who You Are:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator or similar role preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and other heavy machinery.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations governing heavy equipment operation.
  • Ability to achieve high levels of accuracy and efficiency in material placement and balance.
  • Experience with tracking and updating shipment statuses.
  • Ability to perform scheduled maintenance tasks and minor repairs on equipment.
  • Commitment to completing pre- and post-operation equipment checks to ensure safe operation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and maneuver heavy loads.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
