Job summary

EMR USA in Bayonne, NJ is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to handle material movement within the yard using a material handler, excavator, skid steer, forklift and related equipment. You will work independently to complete daily tasks and ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, endure outdoor conditions, and perform routine equipment maintenance and safety procedures, with prior material handler or excavator experience considered a plus.

Qualifications

Job description

EMR USA has an opening for a Heavy Equipment Operator in Bayonne. In this role, the equipment operator will operate a material handler or excavator, skid steer, forklift and other equipment to move metal throughout the yard. To be successful in this role, the Equipment Operator must be able to work independently to accomplish daily tasks.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate front end loader to safely and efficiently move/load/unload material
• Complete all required daily equipment reports
• Perform daily maintenance and inspection on equipment
• Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Job Demands

While performing the essential functions of this job, the Equipment Operator will be working in an outdoor environment. The employee may be near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to all weather conditions. The noise level in the environment can be loud and will require ear protection. The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in confined spaces.
