Job summary

Slusarski Excavating & Paving in Adrian, Michigan is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to run dozers, graders, and excavators with precision on civil projects.

You will read blueprints, understand grade stakes, and perform finish grading for asphalt and other surfaces, with laborer duties as needed. GPS tech knowledge is preferred to improve accuracy and efficiency on site.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
  • CDL-A license preferred.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints, understand grade stakes, and perform finish grading.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

About the Role:

As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to complete construction projects. Your expertise in GPS technology, civil utility installation, and blueprint reading will be essential to our success. This role also includes laborer work as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Operation: Operate dozers, graders, and excavators with precision.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints to guide project work.
  • Finish Grading: Perform finish grading for asphalt and other surfaces.
  • Grade Stakes: Understand and work with grade stakes.
  • Utility Installation: Install stormwater systems and watermains.
  • GPS Technology: Utilize GPS technology for accurate operation (preferred)
