Job summary

Granite Construction Company in Tucson, AZ is seeking a skilled maintenance technician for heavy equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, refueling, fluid checks, and lubrication per manufacturer specs on earthmoving machinery.

You will operate a lube truck on job sites in Southern Arizona, follow safety rules, use proper tools, and support maintenance programs. A CDL with HAZMAT is preferred, plus MSHA Part 46 certification.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience working directly on the repair of heavy, earth-moving equipment and/or related equipment.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain.
• MSHA Part 46 Certificate (5000-23) may be required for the job.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and lubrication routine/preventative maintenance on earthmoving equipment by checking oil levels and changing oil, checking seals for leakage, grease, check filters, refueling, etc.
• Operate a lube truck on job sites throughout Southern Arizona as needed.

General Summary

This position is responsible for safely performing routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, including but not limited to refueling equipment, checking, and maintaining all fluid levels and lubricating grease points per manufacturer's specifications.

Essential Job Accountabilities

• Perform mechanical and lubrication routine/preventative maintenance on earthmoving equipment by checking oil levels and changing oil, checking seals for leakage, grease, check filters, refueling, etc.
• Operate a lube truck on job sites throughout Southern Arizona as needed.
• Proper use of tools to complete lubrication and maintenance.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.

Work Experience

• Two (2) years of experience working directly on the repair of heavy, earth-moving equipment and/or related equipment.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain.

• Push, pull, lift, or move up to 80 lbs. or more.
