Job summary

Granite Construction in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Heavy Equipment Oiler/Lube Tech to perform routine preventive maintenance on earthmoving equipment, including oil checks, refueling, grease points, and filters in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

You will operate a lube truck on job sites across Southern Arizona, use hand tools, and follow strict safety and contamination-control rules to maintain equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience repairing heavy earth-moving equipment.
• CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment components and systems.
• MSHA Part 46 Certificate (5000-23) as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine/preventive maintenance and lubrication on heavy equipment per manufacturer specs.

We’re building more than infrastructure; we are building your future.**General Summary**This position is responsible for safely performing routine preventative maintenance on heavy equipment, including but not limited to refueling equipment, checking, and maintaining all fluid levels and lubricating grease points per manufacturer’s specifications.**Essential Job Accountabilities*** Perform mechanical and lubrication routine/preventative maintenance on earthmoving equipment by checking oil levels and changing oil, checking seals for leakage, grease, check filters, refueling, etc.* Operate a lube truck on job sites throughout Southern Arizona as needed.* Proper use of tools to complete lubrication and maintenance.* Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.* Perform other duties as required.**Work Experience*** Two (2) years of experience working directly on the repair of heavy, earth-moving equipment and/or related equipment.* Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*** Knowledge of heavy equipment components and systems.* Ability to perform routine maintenance.* Ability to communicate effectively.* Ability to obtain an MSHA Part 46 Certificate (5000-23) as required for the job.**Physical Demands*** Climb and maintain balance on scaffolds and ladders.* Reach for, handle, and manipulate objects and materials.* Bend, kneel, and crawl.* Good eyesight (either naturally or with correction).* Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.* Exposure to adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust.* Push, pull, lift, or move up to 80 lbs. or more.**Additional Requirements/Skills*** Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.* Ability and willingness to abide by Granite’s Code of Conduct daily.**About Granite Construction Incorporated**Granite Construction Incorporated is a member of the S&P 400 Index and is the parent company of Granite Construction Company, one of the nation's largest heavy civil contractors and construction materials producers.
