Job summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Oiler to perform fueling, oiling and basic maintenance on site in Texas. The role requires a valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements and the ability to work 50–70 hours per week in challenging conditions.

Responsibilities include daily checks, oil changes per OEM guidelines, and completing service work orders while maintaining the fuel/lube truck and adhering to safety standards across job sites.

Qualifications

• At least 2yrs of experience fueling and oiling heavy equipment.
• CDL Class A with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsement is required.
• Daily fueling, greasing and fluid level checks on all job site equipment.
• Oil changes on equipment per OEM guidelines and supervisor directions.
• Complete work orders for machine services and daily activities.
• Maintain Fuel/Lube truck at peak operating level and ensure safety/compliance.
• Use a small assortment of hand tools to complete tasks.
• Read and follow oil charts.
• Understand safety and occupational hazards of work.
• Keep lube truck clean and well maintained.

• Able to exert heavy physical effort and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Able to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.
• Able to rig and hoist material.

Qualifications

Must possess competence in the following areas in order to perform this role in a safe, productive and effective manner:

• Perform oil changes on equipment as per OEM Guidelines and as directed by the Equipment Superintendent.
• Complete all work orders associated with machine services and daily activities.
• Maintain Fuel/Lube truck to perform at peak operating level and ensure it meets all safety and compliance criteria.
• Utilizes small assortment of hand tools to complete tasks.
• Reads and follows oil chart.
• Understands safety and occupational hazards of work.
• Keeps lube truck clean and well maintained.
• Valid driver license and satisfactory driving record.

• Ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.
• Ability to correctly rig and hoist material.
• Ability to tolerate heights without fear.
• Ability to maintain balance.
• Able to enter the cab of a vehicle or piece of equipment that is 3 feet or more off the ground.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time, reach for, handle, and manipulate items and to work in extreme weather conditions (cold and wet).
• Able to work long, irregular and varied hours, 50 to 70 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to safely and effectively perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal , state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
