Job summary

T. Parker Host is seeking Equipment Mechanics for our Avondale Global Gateway in Avondale, LA. This full-time, non-exempt role involves repairs and preventive maintenance on a range of mobile equipment at a historic, redeveloped logistics terminal.

You will read electrical/hydraulic schematics, use diagnostic software, and work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends. TWIC, physicals, and drug tests are required, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Advanced mechanical knowledge (electrical, internal combustion engines, hydraulics).
• Proficient with hand tools, air tools, diagnostic software, cranes, and rigging equipment.
• Ability to work all shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to attain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Successful completion of background check.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights up to 200 feet.
• Meet “fit for duty” requirements (pre-employment physical and drug test).
• Ability to work in dusty environments and all weather conditions.
• Regular, dependable attendance.
