Job summary

TRAX International Corp in Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona, seeks a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and overhaul major assemblies of heavy construction vehicles, including diesel/gas engines and hydraulic systems.

Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED, 609 AC Certification, and 3 years of heavy equipment experience (or 1 year from a recognized trade school). CDL and security clearance are preferred, with safety and teamwork emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 609 AC Certification is required.
• Three years’ experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or one year post-trade school is required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul heavy construction equipment.
• Document maintenance actions on applicable forms.
• Read manuals and repair air brake, hydraulic, electrical, and A/C systems.
• Perform quality control inspections.
