Keolis Commuter Services seeks a Mechanic - Tech C to join our maintenance team in Woodbridge, VA. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing heavy transit equipment, performing oil and lubrication services, and conducting preventive maintenance with precise documentation.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with 2 years of technical training or equivalent experience. CDL with air brake endorsement preferred; ASE Transit certs encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience with heavy equipment required.
• ASE Transit Certification preferred with pursuit of additional certs.
• CDL with Air brake endorsement preferred or obtainable within 90 days.
• HVAC 609/608 knowledge.
• Experience with diagnostic equipment and software required.
• Understanding of ADA equipment, brakes, engines, lighting and controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of all systems onboard fleet vehicles.
• Perform oil and lubrication services.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and document findings.
• Handle in-house and road-call repairs using hand, power, pneumatic, and precision tools.
• Upgrade or modify coach systems per manufacturer recommendations or client requests.
