Job summary

GreenLoop Management, LLC — including Atomic Sand, LLC — is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic at our Beech Island, SC site. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heavy mining equipment with emphasis on conveyors, pumps, and wash-plant components.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with dredge systems, welding, fabrication, and a commitment to safety per MSHA standards. Work is outdoors with occasional extended hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment, industrial, or mining maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
• Experience with conveyors, pumps, wash plants, and hydraulic systems preferred.
• Welding and fabrication skills required.
• Must pass a drug screen, have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain heavy equipment and mining machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues; perform preventive maintenance.
• Welding and fabrication as needed; maintain records and reports.
• Follow MSHA and company safety protocols; participate in safety meetings.
• Communicate effectively with supervision and team members.
