The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has a vacancy for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in our Durango location. This journey-level position works primarily in the shop, with very minimal field work, and provides skilled, professional, quality mechanic services for a wide range of CDOT equipment.
Your duties include diagnosing and repairing malfunctions, overhauls, and using test equipment to diagnose defects.

Base pay for this position is typically between$2,478-$2,610/biweekly($64,428-$67,848/annually). This location is also eligible for an additional $500/monthhousing stipend, resulting in total pay of $70,428-$73,848/annually. The minimum annualized hourly rate for this position is $30.98/hour (corresponding to $2478/biweekly).New employees to the State will be paid biweekly. There are 26 biweekly pay periods in a year.
