WM is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic II to service heavy machinery at our King George, VA site. You will repair bulldozers, scrapers and loaders, ensuring safe, reliable operations and contributing to a strong maintenance program.

The role offers a starting wage of $23-$27 per hour, stable hours, healthcare coverage, a 401(k) match, and education assistance. Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends, with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• 1 year of maintenance mechanic experience on heavy equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with/without accommodations.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment including bulldozers, scrapers, backhoes, loaders, yard trucks and forklifts.
• Diagnose and repair differentials, hydraulics, motors, transmissions, drives, A/C and electrical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance per site checklist.
• Handle paperwork such as work orders, file cards, PM checklists and oil samples.
• Service and maintain other equipment like light plants, pumps and welders.
