Job summary

HydroExcavators, LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanic in Conyers, GA to perform repair, maintenance, and servicing of a wide range of equipment. The role requires four years of automotive mechanic experience, including heavy machinery maintenance, plus a valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain one within six months.

You will diagnose faults, disassemble and reassemble machinery, and perform routine maintenance while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bi-lingual; basic computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Required: Four years full-time automotive mechanic experience, one year in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and machinery maintenance is expected.
• Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Excellent communication, math aptitude and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using diagnostic equipment.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles.
• Examine parts for damage or wear using micrometers and gauges.
• Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment and keep service records.
• Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
