Austin Bridge & Road is seeking a dedicated Mechanic - Heavy Equipment to support our dedicated concrete paving crew in Farmers, Branch, TX. The role involves assembling, maintaining and repairing construction equipment on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two+ years related mechanic experience and/or training.
• Experience with slipform pavers, concrete places, and cure/texture machines.
• Mechanical, welding, and electrical experience preferred.
• Must read and speak fluent English.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, sets up, adjusts, maintains and repairs all types of construction equipment.
• Inspects and diagnoses machinery to determine need for and cost of repairs.
• Tests, installs new or repaired unit back into equipment.
• Performs minor tune ups to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the equipment.
• Understands system controls, operation, and configurations.
