Job summary

Structures, Inc. in Chaska, MN is seeking a dedicated Construction & Heavy Equipment Mechanic with mid-level experience to maintain and repair construction and farming equipment.

This role blends shop work, equipment maintenance, and safe mobilization to job sites. You will diagnose and repair gear, perform scheduled maintenance, drive equipment locally and nationwide, and ensure DOT logs and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with equipment maintenance, repair, and fabrication.
• Diesel and heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Preferred experience loading/unloading materials and equipment.
• Preferred experience operating various types of construction equipment.
• Valid CDL Class A license with air brake endorsement and DOT medical card, or willingness to obtain CDL Class A.
• Ability to travel as needed, on occasion, for a week or longer.
• OSHA 30-hour safety training certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of construction and heavy equipment.
• Inspect and test equipment after repairs are completed.
• Perform scheduled equipment maintenance per industry standards.
• Ensure all equipment meets operational safety standards.
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation and track maintenance time for all tasks.
• Load and unload trucks with equipment and materials.
• Operate construction equipment safely and drive to job sites locally and nationwide.
• Keep shop organized and manage tools, materials, and parts.
