Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. in Belle Fourche, SD is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain wheel-scrapers, dozers, loaders, graders, and more. Work may occur in our shop or in the field with a service truck.

This safety-sensitive role includes random drug testing and requires continuous attention to safety and procedures. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, ownership of tools, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air, and brake systems,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have own tools.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air, brake systems.
• Current CDL is a plus; clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, maintain equipment and ensure any out of compliance issues are fixed in a timely manner.
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Proper communication with staff about repairs made or needed
• Document repairs made and parts used in repair process
