Job summary

Hope/City Concrete in Texas is seeking a skilled Mechanic with electrical experience to join our maintenance team. You will perform repairs, preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment such as mixers, conveyors, batch plants, and support vehicles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in concrete or construction materials.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills (industrial motors, panels, controls).
• Experience with heavy equipment, diesel engines, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and diagrams.
• Must have own tools and valid driver's license.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on concrete production equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and diesel engines.
• Install, diagnose, and repair electrical systems including motors, control panels, sensors, and wiring.
• Maintain accurate service records and equipment logs.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and operational standards.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and on-site service calls as needed.
• Collaborate with plant operators and production managers to minimize downtime.
