Job summary

A construction service provider in McLean, Virginia, is seeking experienced heavy equipment mechanics to join their team. Job description

McLean Contracting Company is looking to hire experienced heavy equipment mechanics to join our service team in the Chesapeake, VA region.

Selected candidates will work on a wide range of equipment from marine cranes, piledriving equipment and marine to land fleet cranes, along with other mobile equipment. Ideal candidates will possess 5+ years of relevant experience, and a strong ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and make the necessary repairs to heavy construction equipment with little supervision.

• Marine diesel repairs – ABYC Certifications a plus
• Ability to read/ interpret electrical schematics.
• Experience with marine electrical systems.
• Ability to read/ interpret hydraulic schematics.
• Experience with repairing hydraulic systems (pumps, motors, actuators, etc…)
• Crane repair, erection/disassembly – CCO license a plus
• Strong knowledge of friction cranes and Liebherr duty cycle cranes a plus

Other Skills and Abilities

Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation to work and be able to pass a drug screen and criminal history background check.
