Barnard Construction Company, Inc. seeks a Mechanic - Heavy Equipment to service and repair a range of heavy machinery at project sites in the US Southwest.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, performing maintenance, and fabricating parts when needed. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, owns basic shop tools or a service truck access, and can work long hours in varying outdoor conditions.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment.
• Experience with diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Must own or have access to a service truck and tools.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Ability to inspect heavy equipment and identify defects and performance issues.
• Maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on construction equipment.
• Fabricate parts when needed.
• Safety culture and policies awareness.
• Welding and cutting skills.
• Valid driver license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Exert heavy physical effort; lift up to 100 pounds.
• Kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl as needed.
• Rig and hoist material safely.
• Tolerate heights and work at heights.
• Enter cabs of vehicles or equipment over 3.5 feet high.
• Stand or walk long periods; work in extreme weather.
• Work 50–70 hours per week, irregular hours.
• Maintain punctual attendance as per standards.
• Meet productivity and safety standards.
