Job summary

E-Z Bel Construction, LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain fleet trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery in shop and field settings. You will diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and diesel systems using OEM software, Caterpillar ET, and multimeters, perform PMs, and document work orders while upholding safety standards.

The role requires strong attention to safety, ability to work independently or in teams, and coordination with Foremen and Dispatch to minimize

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of heavy equipment and fleet repair experience.
• Proficiency with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and diesel engine systems.
• Skilled with diagnostic equipment including OEM software and multimeters.
• Ability to read repair manuals, schematics and technical diagrams.
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred; strong safety focus.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment including brakes and hydraulics.
• Complete preventive maintenance and inspections; document results in work orders.
• Use diagnostic tools (OEM software, Caterpillar ET, multimeters) for troubleshooting.
• Service loaders, skid steers, excavators, and fleet trucks; troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
• Install GPS units and electrical components per specifications.
• Operate forklifts/cranes safely during maintenance tasks.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout, hot work, confined space, and OSHA safety protocols.
• Maintain shop tools and parts; respond to field service calls.
• Record repair data, parts usage, and labor time; coordinate with vendors and dispatch.
