Job summary

GeoStabilization International (GSI) is seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment, including rock drills, excavators, skid steers, lifts, and concrete pumps. This role is based in Williamstown, KY with a Monday–Friday schedule and overtime as needed.

You will diagnose issues from engines to hydraulics, carry out preventive maintenance, replace fluids, and support safety-critical operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license required.
• Experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machines, engines, transmissions, and run diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues.
• Conduct repairs to maximize reliability and safe operations.
• Troubleshoot reported problems accurately and resolve them promptly.
• Perform maintenance on machinery and systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, gearboxes, and related software.
• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components; replenish engine fluids.
• Undertake other duties such as hydraulic system repair or welding as needed.
• Keep logs of work and report on issues observed.
