Job summary

Sunland Asphalt and Construction, LLC. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in the Las Vegas area.

You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on pavers, rollers, milling machines and other heavy equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. The ideal candidate has five years of hands-on experience, a HS diploma or GED, and strong hydraulics and electrical diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working on heavy equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Scanner diagnostics a plus: OTC vehicle/CAT ET.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and trucks.
• Diagnose hydraulic systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting hydraulics and engines.
• Fabricate and install replacement parts using shop tools.
• Maintain work orders and cost estimates.
• Prioritize repairs.
• Ensure a safe, clean work environment with PPE compliance.
