Job summary

Fessler & Bowman is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain company vehicles, heavy machinery, and related equipment. The role involves working in the shop and traveling to job sites to ensure optimal performance for our fleet.

Travel is required for this position (under 25%). The job demands a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years of mechanic experience, a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and CDL Class A.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of mechanic experience.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• CDL Class A is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair equipment in shop and on job sites.
• Troubleshoot electrical, drive train, HVAC, brake, engine and suspension systems.
• Identify needed repairs and perform corrective actions.
• Maintain repair order write-ups with detailed descriptions and causes.
• Obtain and track PO numbers for purchases.
• Use diagnostic equipment to detect faults and determine repair procedures.
