Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanic for the 2-2nd shift in Montoursville, PA. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and transportation vehicles, including trucks and paving machinery, under supervision.

The role requires a valid Driver’s license and CDL with HazMat/Tanker endorsements preferred. You will work overtime, travel occasionally, and contribute to safety and efficiency across the shop.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license for state of residence with acceptable driving record.
• Valid Class B CDL for state of residence with acceptable driving record.
• Prefer Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
• Must meet company minimum standards for drivers.
• Class B state inspection license; Prefer Class A state inspection license.
• Must possess tools needed to complete assigned projects.
• Troubleshooting techniques, hydraulic principles, power and drive train principles.
• Machine electronics, cutting and welding processes, fuel systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and rebuild all system failures on mobile and stationary equipment.
• Safely operate equipment requiring a Commercial Driver's License for diagnosing and testing.
• Generate repair work orders with parts and time estimates.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work area.
• Communicate with Leaders and Equipment Operators about projects.
• Perform welding and flame-cutting as required.
